Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Lawyer to join a key client of ours on a flexible consultancy basis. This client is an innovative law firm, dedicated to servicing entrepreneurial clients, including start-ups and SMEs. They pride themselves on their ‘people first’ approach and their recently obtained B-Corp status.
This consultancy arrangement is non-exclusive, capable of sitting alongside other projects, and can be undertaken on a fully remote basis.
The successful lawyer can expect to be provided with work from the firm. While the hours are flexible, lawyers should ideally have the capacity to commit to circa 20 hours per week (give or take). A competitive hourly rate is on offer for this.
Should lawyers also be interested in building their own client book of business, the firm will support these endeavours and will award the lawyer with a fee share of any resulting work. A desire to build a book of business is NOT required, however.
Successful lawyers are likely to demonstrate:
* Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales
* A strong corporate law background obtained from notable city or international law firms
* A wealth of corporate law experience
* Experience in a full range of corporate matters including mergers & acquisitions; joint ventures; corporate re-organisations; shareholder agreements; partnership agreements; negotiating warranties, indemnities, disclosure letters, earn-outs, and other forms of consideration; funding rounds and founder exits
* A genuine interest in working on a flexible consultancy basis
* A desire to work with SMEs, start-ups, and scale-ups
* The ability to work autonomously with a keen eye for detail
* The capacity to start a new opportunity immediately or at short notice
