HSQE Advisor Role - (Wastewater Treatment Projects)

The Role:
Working for Glanua is exciting, challenging and incredibly rewarding, as HSQE Advisor, you will support the Framework HSQE Team and the implementation of our HSQE System and work closely with our site teams to ensure our projects are delivered safely and ensure risks are appropriately managed on site.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the HSQE Advisor are outlined as follows:
Continuous promotion of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards across the Company and your allocated sites.
Act as a point of contact for HSQE matters for relevant operations, liaising and interfacing with relevant personnel ensuring compliance is met on plans and procedure. Provide advice and deal with queries and correspondence on HSQE issues.
Provide HSQE advice and direction to staff and contractors, liaising with Site Personnel.
Reporting to the Framework HSQE Manager on HSQE Performance across the framework.
Promotion & awareness of Customer requirements throughout the Thames Framework.
Assist in the development and implementation of HSQE Procedures. Ensuring that new procedures and/or practices are developed to prevent the same or similar accidents.
Ensure compliance with current Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and maintain awareness of legislative changes and industry standards. Provide onsite HSQE presence during construction and operations to ensure HSQE controls, mitigation measures are implemented, maintained and performance monitored.
Obtaining and reviewing safety documentation from Clients, Suppliers and Sub contractors.
Carrying out Site Inspections and generating reports.
Liaising with external parties relating to HSQE.
Ensure ISO (9001, 45001 & 14001) compliance of all Offices, Sites and Plants.
Ensure appropriate communication processes are maintained on site and that communication takes place regarding HSQE.
Ensure appropriate process measurements are established, adequate and maintained
Apply for relevant permits and licences regarding environmental issues.
Report major accidents / incidents to UK HSQE Manager immediately.
Assign HSQE duties and responsibilities to competent persons.
Identifying safety training needs and safety training for the site teams.
Assist the team in incident investigations. Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes.
Review reports of reportable accidents and obtains necessary clarification or further details.
Develop & Maintain relationships with Government agencies.
Monitor emerging EHS legislation and ensure company is compliant.
Manage legal requirements and compliance on site.
Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the sites.
Facilitate Internal Audits.
Monitor all Forms Registers to ensure compliance with our ISO System.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the HSQE Advisor are outlined as follows:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role, preferably in the civils, water and wastewater industry.
Extensive working knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Legislation, Regulations and Best Practice requirements. Awareness of the ISO Standards
Minimum of a Level 4/5 or higher qualification in Health and Safety
Strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), and a general competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps etc)
Full Driving License.
