The opportunity To oversee the project design, procurement and construction phases through to handover and occupation including managing a number of separate work streams and their combined interfaces. Undertaking contract administration role issuing instructions, on behalf of the client, to the professional team and contractor in accordance with the terms of their appointment or the building contract. In addition, there will be extensive communication required to multiple stakeholders both internal and external. Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing project reporting and recording procedures with the client and the professional team and contractor. Managing and ensuring integration of multiple workstreams including surveys, planning, built environment, monitoring, decant and enabling projects. Monitoring the performance of the professional team and the contractor and reporting to the client. Liaising with the professional team and preparing regular/monthly quality, cost and programme reports. Lead on technical negotiations with contractor and consultants. Advising the client of any decisions required and obtain authorisation. Providing strategic thinking and forward planning to the project across all workstreams. Setting up and chair regular professional team, stakeholder, client and site progress meetings and report on weekly project and commercial progress. Managing and developing the team to ensure aims are met and staff are supported and motivated. Assessing resources available on a regular basis and bring in additional support/specialist expertise. Managing, monitoring and coordinating all key aspects of the project, including but not limited to, cost, value, risk, logistics, neighbour relations, statutory consents, safety, quality, M&E, design, stakeholder engagement and environment. Establishing and monitoring appropriate project operating procedures and systems, specifically ensuring the quality management plan is being followed and adhered to. Ensuring close out and practical completion schedules are completed and issued. Implement where applicable Soft-Landing process from inception to after care Preparing detailed project plan and providing financial reports on time (forecasts, budgets, income, fees and etc.). Establishing and monitoring sustainability goals and reporting internally and externally. Work internally with quality managers and finance team. Review and highlight resourcing needs to project director. Promotes mace services to existing clients, Seek opportunity to diversify mace offer across project management and practices groups.
