We are looking to expand our clinical team for Dermatology services by recruiting two consultants.
Dermatology is a very busy specialty, providing care to around 550 adult and paediatric patients per week, working alongside experienced colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams with the goal to provide the best care for our patients. We are the best performing Dermatology service within Greater Manchester and this is achieved through great management, support from other services and dedication to providing excellent patient care to our community.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage their own clinical workload and cover all types of dermatological conditions for two week wait, new and follow up patients and ward referrals, as well as performing minor operations and being an integral part of the sector MDT meetings.
There will be opportunities to play a vital role in service development as well as educating and developing staff within the department as we look to grow the services we offer as well as expanding the range of roles within the department.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Entry on the GMC specialist register in Dermatology or be eligible for entry (within six months of attaining Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) at the time of interview
* MRCP or equivalent
* Full GMC registration
* MD or PhD
Knowledge
* Broad knowledge and experience of medical and surgical dermatology including management of acute dermatoses
* A particular interest and expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment
Experience
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Dermatology
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients
* Ability to offer an expert opinion on the full range of dermatological problems
Teaching/training
* Ability to work with and supervise non-career grade staff, registrars and specialist nurses
* Ability to teach clinical skills
* Ability to manage and lead strategic developments in service delivery
* Ability to supervise research
