Job Description
VANRATH have exciting opportunity for a skilled Legal Officer to join a dynamic public sector organisation based in Belfast City Centre. This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully within a supportive environment while gaining valuable professional experience in a key position.
Things to know about the job
* £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (pro rata)
* Temporary, 9-12 months
* Hybrid
The Person
* A minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience in a legal environment.
* Demonstrable experience in preparing legal cases for presentation in court, tribunals, or similar legal forums.
* Practical knowledge of presenting cases in either industrial or employment tribunals, including preparation of witness statements, evidence, and legal arguments.
* Strong understanding of anti-discrimination laws, equality policies, and employment legislation, with the ability to apply these principles in case preparation and advisory functions.
* Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis, translating findings into practical legal advice or strategy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal information clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and tribunals.
The Role
* Prepare cases for presentation in courts or employment tribunals, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
* Provide clear, comprehensive advice on legal matters, ensuring compliance with statutory and procedural requirements.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage cases efficiently and effectively.
