Salary: £12.00 - £12.30 per hour (dependent on level of qualification)
Sleep Rate: £55.00 per sleep
Overtime Rate: £15.00 per hour

The Company:
We are Next Stage 4Life, a residential childcare provider with eight Registered Children’s Homes that have an OFSTED rating of ‘Good’. We are a small family firm that is passionate about supporting children and young people up to the age of 18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will become an essential part of a child’s life by delivering support that is focused on all aspects of their health, wellbeing, education, independence, and development. You will be responsible for:

* Providing an outstanding quality of care that is underpinned with the Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Building and maintaining appropriate positive relationships with our children and young people; colleagues; and professionals/outside agencies.
* Adopting a trauma-informed therapeutic approach to delivering support.
* Providing a safe, nurturing, and positive living environment.
* Providing domestic support within the home.
* Working with a child or young person on a one-to-one basis.
* Engaging in meaningful activities that the child or young person enjoys such as LEGO building, watching films, visiting parks and/or theme parks, and going on holiday.
* Ensuring our children feel heard and are able to communicate their individual wants, needs, and wishes.
* Managing conflict and challenging behaviour appropriately with the aim of producing positive outcomes.
* Working as part of a team.
* Committing to developing your professional knowledge and skillset.
* Working shifts as part of a rolling rota on a two on four off basis (including long shifts, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, bank holidays, and on-call duties).
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial; however, it is not essential because we pride ourselves on facilitating a bespoke learning and development programme that encourages career progression within our organisation and the childcare profession. If you do not hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce upon joining the organisation, you will be supported in obtaining your qualification within the first two years of your employment.
The successful applicant must hold a full and valid UK Driving License and be willing to add business insurance to their car insurance policy.
