A Tier 1 contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of substation and power projects ranging from £30m to £70m. Based in Barking, this role offers hybrid working and an excellent day rate outside IR35. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and financial strategy across complex power infrastructure projects. You will have the flexibility to work between site, office, and remotely. Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor: Lead commercial management on substation and power projects. Oversee budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control. Manage NEC contract administration and subcontractor performance. Ensure accurate valuations, variations, and final accounts. Work closely with stakeholders, providing strategic commercial guidance.Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor: Strong experience in power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects. Proven ability to manage high-value contracts under NEC frameworks. Excellent cost control, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.
