Supporting Families Key Worker – Family Time Facilitator
Afternoon and after-school hours preferred with availability from 2-6pm Monday to Friday.
We are looking for the right candidate to join our friendly, supportive, and busy Family Time Team. Rochdale Family Time Service provides high-quality, child-led supervised family time to our cared-for children. We are looking for someone with experience of direct work with children and families, ideally with experience in facilitating and recording observations of family time/contact sessions. Knowledge of the needs of cared-for children and their families is essential, and experience of offering parenting support, child-led play, and working in a trauma-informed manner would be preferred.
The right candidate will be reliable, well-organised, and able to communicate well with children, young people, parents, and all professionals involved.
Family Time sessions may take place in Family Hubs or in community settings, and the right candidate will be able to manage their time to ensure that court-directed sessions are well-organised and meet the needs of children and families. The use of your own transport to work at locations across and occasionally outside the borough is also essential.
Flexibility is key to meeting the diverse needs of the families we work with, and we are looking for someone who can think creatively and offer support to the team as we strive to meet unprecedented demand within the Family Time Service.
