Become part of The Myton Team and help us to make a difference…
At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
We’re seeking a self-employed driver to support our charity shops in and around the Stratford/Alcester/Redditch area.
You’ll distribute stock between our shops on an ad-hoc basis, facilitate house collections and clearances, support stock generation events such as Donation Drive-Throughs, and promote Gift Aid. As the role involves collecting and transporting large items, such as furniture, you will need to have access to your own suitable vehicle.
You’ll play an important part in supporting our charity shops, which fund the care of one in four of our patients.
We would love to hear from self-employed drivers in the Coventry and Warwickshire area with:
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- A suitable vehicle
- A UTR number
- All relevant insurance
- Experience of distributing goods
- The ability to lift heavy and/or bulky items
- Knowledge of safe moving and handling
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply. If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Myton, we encourage you to share this with us.
We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and from ethnic minorities, who are currently under-represented in our hospices. We also believe our interview process should be inclusive and transparent. If there is anything missing, or a way we can improve, please do let us know.
Our online application form involves answering a few short questions and attaching your CV. If you would prefer a paper application form, or if you have any questions, including about support or adjustments, please contact us on 01926 838 849, by email at recruitment@mytonhospice.org, or by post: HR, Warwick Myton Hospice, Myton Lane, CV34 6PX.
