Job Description:
Our Amazon Customer Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of one of our most critical accounts. This role is responsible for ensuring profitable growth, seamless operations, and fostering strong partnerships across global Amazon teams. Acting as the primary liaison, the Amazon CDM collaborates closely with internal departments, including Sales Support, Distribution, Marketing, and Finance, to deliver excellence and achieve shared goals.
Day to day, the Amazon Customer Development Manager will:
* Act as a key point of contact to support and facilitate Amazon accounts across global markets.
* Oversee the management and performance of the UK and US Amazon businesses, optimising Vendor Central and Seller Central operations.
* Partner with the Head of Wholesale to develop and execute strategic plans that drive sales and profit growth.
* Ensure Amazon US product listings are optimised to maximise visibility and sales performance.
* Manage Amazon Advertising and DSP campaigns, adhering to monthly budgets while tracking and improving ROAS.
* Regularly review performance metrics (weekly, monthly, YTD) to identify gaps and growth opportunities. Present actionable recommendations to the wider business.
* Work with the Marketing team to feed Amazon’s promotional and marketing needs into the global marketing calendar, ensuring effective campaigns with a focus on ROI.
* Liaise with the Head of Supply Chain to ensure accurate demand forecasting and optimal inventory levels across Amazon territories.
* Prepare and present weekly sales performance updates during trade calls.
* Contribute insights during regular departmental meetings to align strategies across teams.
The Amazon Customer Development Manager will need:
* Proven experience managing Amazon accounts using both Vendor Central and Seller Central platforms.
* Experience in transitioning accounts from Vendor to Seller Central (advantageous).
* A track record of driving profitable revenue growth within an e-commerce channel, with expertise in: SEO and optimizing product visibility, brand store management and enhancing customer experience, planning and executing advertising campaigns with a focus on ROAS management.
* Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a highly commercial mindset to identify and act on business opportunities.
* Exemplary planning and organisational abilities.
* Excellent communication skills and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
* A proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* A keen eye for analytics and a results-driven attitude to continuously optimize performance.
