What you will do in your working day
* Learn and apply principles of electrical and electronics engineering in automotive design and development projects.
* Gain practical experience in low current and lower power electronic engineering, including mixed analog and digital signal processing techniques.
* Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of electrical and electronic systems for McLaren vehicles.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic systems into vehicle platforms, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
* Participate in training modules and workshops to develop technical skills and knowledge in communication systems, wireless technologies, biomedical electronics, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures, striving for excellence in quality and efficiency.
* Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, always maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
The training you will be getting
* BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering in addition to professional registration via the EPA.
* Training will be in-person via day release delivery method.
* Training will be at London South Bank University, Southwark Campus.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Promoted into a higher grade role, which is the equivalent to a skilled technician or a qualified engineer.
