Who are we?
About the PAYG Contactless Programme
The integrated Fare and Ticketing offer will involve providing all types of passengers with access to a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) proposition where a passenger travels first and pays later based on travel taken. Initially these proposals will cover Metrolink and Bus, but they are designed to be scalable to rail and micro-mobility in time. This scalability for the future and laying significant foundations for future integrations is a key principle of the scheme design for the fare and ticketing proposals. To provide this PAYG offer there will be a contactless payment option that enables customers to use credit/debit cards or associated contactless media to pay for their travel on Metrolink and Bus.
