As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Resource Planner to join our team and help ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time to deliver high-quality care for patients and customers.
The Role
As Resource Planner, you will play a vital role in managing the scheduling and coordination of our clinical workforce across a range of services. Working closely with operational teams, recruitment colleagues and our clinical workforce, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate schedules, forecasting resource needs, and ensuring compliance – all while keeping the day-to-day running of our services smooth and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, bank workers, and locums, ensuring effective communication around schedules and shifts.
* Manage and update resource management systems with accurate and up-to-date information.
* Forecast resource needs in line with service demands and project timelines.
* Generate reports on resource allocation and ensure these align with contractual and operational requirements.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and compliance processes by ensuring all resource data is accurate and accessible.
* Identify and resolve resource conflicts, escalating where necessary.
* Participate in daily operational huddles to review priorities and resourcing challenges.
* Provide out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota when required.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in resource planning, scheduling, or administration, ideally within healthcare.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to optimise resource allocation and improve processes.
* IT literate, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and resource management software.
