As we enter AMP8, our most ambitious Asset Management Period, we are preparing to undertake our largest project yet. This is a unique opportunity to drive industry change, set global standards, and foster career growth.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to play a pivotal role in implementing procurement strategies, negotiating high-value transactions, and collaborating with both framework and non-framework partners. In this role, you will be fully integrated into project teams, ensuring key deliverables are met while leading early contractor involvement (ECI) engagements with strategic partners.
As a Senior Buyer, you will be at the forefront of procurement excellence, ensuring best practices and strategic sourcing across major projects.
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Aggregating demand across Water Recycling and Water programmes, ensuring all procurement requirements are met.
2. Implementing ethical and effective supply chain selection to drive value and innovation.
3. Supporting on-time project delivery and proactively mitigating potential risks.
4. Embedding Health & Safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Driving supplier performance by issuing scorecards and providing constructive feedback.
6. Ensuring all contractual and programme deliverables are met within agreed timelines.
7. Identifying and implementing value-driven efficiencies within the supply chain.
8. Building strong stakeholder relationships, providing strategic insights, reports, and fostering knowledge sharing.

2. Strong track record in stakeholder management, engaging effectively with diverse teams and senior leadership.
3. A skilled negotiator, capable of challenging and influencing decisions with transparency and integrity.
4. Results-driven, with a keen focus on supplier performance and continuous improvement.
