Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver engaging lessons to Year 2 students, ensuring adherence to the curriculum
* Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student participation and growth
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to promote student success and well-being
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, using technology as needed
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school
* Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably in Year 2
* Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 2 curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students, colleagues, and parents
* Effective differentiation techniques to cater to the diverse learning needs of students
* Strong classroom management skills, creating a safe and positive learning environment
* Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning experiences
* Postgraduate certificate in Education or equivalent
* Experience working with diverse student populations
This role requires working full-time hours in a primary school in Chorley. The teacher will be responsible for classroom teaching, lesson planning, student assessment, and collaboration with colleagues and parents to support student success and well-being.
