An OUTSTANDING-rated primary school in Brent is seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting January 2025. Responsibilities and Duties
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with additional needs.
* Assist with planning and preparation of resources to enhance learning.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
* Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
* Ensure the classroom remains a safe and welcoming space, adhering to safeguarding policies.
* Collaborate with the wider school team to deliver targeted interventions and support programs.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
* Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
* A positive attitude and a genuine passion for education.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate.
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
* Understanding of the primary curriculum.
