In your new role as Accounts Assistant with Credit Control, your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Manage Customer Accounts
2. Track overdue balances and ensure timely payments
3. Contact customers via phone and email communication to chase payments
4. Update the payment ledger with expected payment dates
5. Perform bank reconciliations
6. Process incoming payments
7. Upload invoices to customer systems, resolve invoice-related queries, and assist with purchase orders and stock discrepancies
To thrive in your new position, you will need:
1. Previous credit control and/or Accounts Assistant experience
2. To be a confident communicator, particularly when dealing with customers over the phone
3. Strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Excel
4. To be able to multitask with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
5. Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
