We are recruiting for a FABRICATION MANAGER to lead a team producing structural steel sections, frames, staircases, hand rails and platforms in a Sandwell based modern manufacturing facility.
Salary is anticipated to in the regions of £40,000 depending on experience. Core working hours are 7am to 4pm, Mon to Fri plus overtime.
As FABRICATION MANAGER your duties & responsibilities will include:
* Managing a team of 6 Fabricators
* Hands on fabrication
* Promoting a “right first time” culture
* Ensure quality & accuracy of fabrication work across the work shop
* Working from engineering and architectural drawings
* Site visits and fitting as required
The successful FABRICATION MANAGER will possess the following key skills and experience:
* Hands on welding & fabrication skills (primarily mig welding)
* Management or supervision of a small team
* Working accurately to technical drawings
* Fabricating structural sections, frames, staircases and hand rails
* Visiting customer sites & fitting
* Working to ISO / CE standards
* CSCS or site welding accreditation is a distinct advantage
This opportunity for a FABRICATION MANAGER will ideally suit an experienced, hands on Fabricator welder with supervisory management experience within a “small team” environment.
