We're currently supporting a market leader in the home improvement industry in their search for an experienced Sales Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivational sales leader/ player manager to take charge of a team, drive revenue, and build a repeatable playbook in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Role/ Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, ensuring they are motivated, equipped, and empowered to hit and exceed targets
Strategic Sales Growth : Develop and execute effective sales strategies, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Sales Process & Performance Tracking: Use data-driven insights to monitor team performance, identify trends, and optimise sales tactics.
Negotiation & Deal Closing: Lead negotiations with key clients, ensuring profitable and sustainable partnerships.
Team Training & Development: Coach and mentor the sales team, providing continuous professional development and support.
Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, understand competitor offerings, and refine sales strategies accordingly.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Efficiency & Productivity: Implement systems and processes to streamline sales operations, making the team more effective and efficient.
Ideal Person:
A proven sales leader: with a track record of successfully managing a high-performing sales team, ideally within the home improvement, retail, or B2C sector
A strategic thinker: able to set ambitious but achievable goals, identify growth opportunities, and adapt to market changes
A natural communicator: confident in leading from the front, influencing stakeholders, and building long-term client relationships
Highly customer-focused: with a strong understanding of consumer buying behaviour and the ability to tailor sales approaches accordingly
Analytical and data-driven: comfortable using CRM systems and sales metrics to drive decisions and improvements
Organised: highly self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
A problem solver with strong negotiation skills: able to manage objections and close deals effectively
Adaptable and resilient: able to navigate challenges, inspire confidence in the team, and maintain a positive, solutions-focused approach.
