Position: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £54,000 + bonus paid monthly – up to £3k + 10% company pension contribution + 29 days annual leave + overtime with OTE over £56K + fantastic share saver scheme + cycle to work scheme + gym membership discounts.
Location: Whittlesey, 4 on 4 off D/N rotation

About the client:
ATA are supporting a large manufacturing group at one of their flagship sites in the west Peterborough area. The group operates within the industrial sector, employing over 2000 staff and boasting a portfolio of manufactured goods that are some of the UK’s most recognisable brands in the British construction market. The company has shown resilience by quickly recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic and withstanding pressure from increased energy prices.
About the role:
As a maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Completing planned preventative maintenance.
- Reacting to breakdowns and completing remedial repair work in a busy manufacturing environment on heavy and automated plant machinery, including robotics, presses, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
- Mechanical fault finding using various methods (Drawings, PLC, Multimeter).
- Swapping mechanical components like for like & stripping and rebuilding mechanical components.
- Welding and fabricating (beneficial).
- Utilising the Piranha CMMS.
- Involvement in project work and making production improvements to achieve TPM as the company adopts LEAN manufacturing processes.
About you:
To be considered for this maintenance engineer role, you should have:
- Experience working within a factory environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Comfort in working in an industrial or heavy environment.
- Strong knowledge of H&S.
- Willingness to work on a days and nights rotation.
- A recognised level 3 (or above) mechanical qualification (City and Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC).
