Planner Scheduler

Our globally renowned and respected client has been established for 60 years and specializes in the design, manufacture, and support of their bespoke diagnostic solutions for supply throughout the world. As a result of the imminent retirement of a long-valued and respected employee, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and organized Planner Scheduler to complement their professional team and to act as the interface between the Support Centre and the Field Service teams' activities.
Responsible for updating and monitoring the field agent's resources capacity, you will be skilled in scheduling in an accurate and efficient manner, taking into consideration ever-changing priorities and considering spare parts supply constraints.
Core responsibilities for this varied and challenging Planner Scheduler role will include (but not be limited to):
1. Optimizing service and support planning, assignment, and dispatching.
2. Updating and managing the service schedule in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Planning and communicating with both customers and internal teams confirming appointments and action plans.
4. Assigning and dispatching field agents with the right skills to a work order and in line with SLA's.
5. Ensuring and checking field agents are equipped with required parts to perform field service visits.
6. Coordinating, communicating, and working cross-functionally with the service teams (including coordinating all types of field activities through to assisting with UKI planning projects).
7. Identifying resource needs, shortages, and excesses, combining long-term planning activities, identifying and implementing process and KPI improvements, and managing geographical and organizational complexities.
8. Collaborating with the supply chain team, providing input for spare parts planning, orders, and delivery, and managing third-party logistic companies where required.
9. Informing stakeholders about any unplanned activity that may impact field service visits and prioritizing in accordance with local and global strategies.
To be considered for this exceptional Planner Scheduler opportunity with a genuine global market-leading client, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 3 years of Project Management, Field Engineer Scheduling experience allied to a customer service background, with basic Mechanical and Electrical knowledge (medical device and instruments proving distinctly advantageous) and a high level of skill in the Microsoft Suite of packages, CRM (Salesforce), and SAP.
You will be an excellent communicator at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders and comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team. While hybrid working is available, you must be able to attend the Basingstoke Head Office environment when required.
