Job Title: Head of Repairs (Interim - 6 Months) Location: Merseyside Rate: £400 per day Contract Length: 6 months Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Repairs to join a prominent Housing Association in the Merseyside area on an interim basis for 6 months. This role offers a competitive rate of £400 per day and requires an individual who is local to the Merseyside area and can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading repairs and maintenance services within either a local authority or a housing association environment. You will play a key role in overseeing and managing the repair services, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and oversee all repairs and maintenance services for the housing association. Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, ensuring repairs are completed on time and within budget. Manage a team of repair specialists, ensuring continuous professional development and high team performance. Monitor and manage contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, quality requirements, and value for money. Collaborate closely with other departments to improve overall service provision and customer satisfaction. Ensure that the repairs and maintenance service is fully compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare and manage budgets for the repairs and maintenance division, reporting on performance to senior management.Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Head of Repairs or in a senior repairs management role within a local authority or housing association. Strong leadership and team management skills. Expertise in managing repairs and maintenance operations, including budget oversight, contractor management, and service improvement. In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, health and safety regulations, and best practices within the housing sector. Ability to make decisions, manage priorities, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ideally based in close proximity to Merseyside for ease of access and to support the delivery of the service.What's on Offer: Competitive daily rate of £400.
