What You Can Expect As a member of the Acquisitions, Investments, and Financial Advisory (AIFA) team, you are part of a dynamic group engaged in significant transactions and strategic initiatives for the ENGIE group in North America. You support the valuation and risk analysis of new projects and assist in structuring and executing M&A and project financing transactions. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining financial models, proposing sensitivity analyses, and collaborating across functions to ensure accurate financial inputs. You identify and mitigate project economic and financial risks, recommend financial options, and support internal approvals for new economic commitments. You will determine which Tax Credits are best utilized to obtain the optimal results for the projects. Additionally, you structure, negotiate and execute financing documents, develop presentations for lenders and management, and support asset valuation for annual impairment testing. • Develop, analyze, and recommend financial models or options and proposals as they relate to a business development project or other funding needs • Provide support and recommendations for structuring, negotiating, and executing the full cycle for medium to large-size transactions, following best project finance practices. • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial model updates • Identify and mitigate project economic and financial risks What You’ll Bring · Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines. · You are working towards professional qualifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent, or a Master of Business Administration (MBA). · Some industry experience and/or experience in conducting M&A and project finance transactions at an investment bank, private equity fund or strategic energy company · Must have analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based, financial models · Energy market experience in one of the following sectors: utility scale renewables, distributed generation (i.e. rooftop solar, etc.), energy services, retail electricity, natural gas transportation or distribution · Commercial acumen with understanding of accounting topics and tax structures · Proven flexible team player who works well with others · Must have communication and presentation skills · Ability to multitask and to work effectively under pressure · Behavioral capabilities: self-motivated, problem solving, strong personality and leadership, common sense, attention to detail, ability to learn and sense of humor Additional Details · This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy · Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies Compensation Salary Range: $74,500 – $114,195 USD annually This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
