Head of Operations
Our client is an established leader in their field, delivering specialist engineering, repair, and overhaul-based services to their clients across the UK.
Due to a change in market conditions, they are enjoying a significant period of growth, particularly within their field-based operation. In support of this, they seek to appoint a Head of Operations whose role will be to shape and develop the existing operation and expand it. You will have a proven background in leading a field-based operation, supporting its growth, rising to challenges, implementing solutions, and successfully implementing a management structure within the team as it grows. You will have a clear vision for best practices.
Our client delivers high-value engineering-based services on customers' own sites, meaning a high degree of communication is required between all stakeholders, as well as strong organizational and leadership skills in the role and across Operations. The business is an SME, and you should be used to undertaking a broad range of responsibilities (commercial and management-based), able to multitask and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
You will be focused on building a motivated and cohesive operation, able to make effective changes and secure the buy-in of the workforce. You will challenge the status quo, bringing your team on the journey and driving cultural improvement. The role will be wide-ranging, reviewing and improving processes, better systems, embracing new technology, and building strong leadership structures within your team.
