What you’ll do:
1. Applying environmental and functional test expertise to the design, development and delivery of new aerospace products, processes and technologies.
2. Being a part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and contributing to the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded.
3. Employing the appropriate discipline processes, practices, and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality.
4. Conducting verification activities on aerospace components and systems including: Requirements Validation, Verification Strategy & Planning, Test, Analysis and Reporting.
5. Creating verification documentation to demonstrate compliance to customer and internal requirements.
6. Defining system level and equipment level Strategies & Tests and understanding how they link together (Integration).
7. Training and coaching other engineers in Verification activities including test & analysis.
8. Creating and managing the definition and requirements for a system, framework or product.
9. Defining processes, system specifications, input/output, integration requirements.
10. Supporting Generation of required test Equipment, including defining the requirements, sourcing, commissioning and usage of. This includes: fixturing, mechanical and electromechanical systems and rigs.
11. Supporting Definition of new tools and processes to streamline test and analysis.
Qualifications:
Skills:
1. Demonstrated experience working in a Systems Test or Verification Engineering role, preferably within the Aerospace or Military Industry.
2. Proven experience of planning, leading and executing projects and functional improvements.
3. Clear understanding of similarity/analysis, demonstration and inspection.
4. Experience in verifying to known industry standards such as RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.
5. Experience and competence in the use of some or all of the following: thermocouples, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, and oscilloscopes.
6. Experience within a regulated industry.
7. Safety critical Engineering background/qualification.
8. Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel for documentation and data analysis.
9. Proactive self-starter, who enjoys being part of a team.
