Our client is a global manufacturing business, with a large production facility based in Banbury. They are now looking to employ an experienced, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, to work onsite, as part of the engineering team.
You will be employed on a shift basis (continental shift pattern), overseeing both preventative maintenance, continual improvement and reactive maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
React to breakdowns and quality issues, using diagnostic skills to identify and rectify problems quickly and effectively.
Programme and monitor the running of plant equipment to maximise through-put in line with agreed quality standards.
Undertake planned maintenance
Work as a member of the shift team, maximising efforts to meet priorities and having a longer-term view to continuous improvement
Input into manufacturing facilities (layouts, services etc.)
Take appropriate escalation actions
Provide engineering and technical services to improve the performance of the plant.
To use the escalation procedure for any issues/concerns eg. Quality/downtime Skills & Experience Required:
Relevant experience in a multi-skilled, onsite maintenance engineering position, ideally within a manufacturing environment or similar.
Relevant engineering qualification, ideally in electrical engineering.
Strong diagnostic skills, good numeracy and communication (both oral and written) skills
Reactive to changing requirements
Ability to write technical reports
Must have a strong attention span with a good eye for detail.
Robotic experience (desirable).
Experience of hydraulics and PLC work.
