As a Senior Manager in the Strategy and Performance team, this role is a great opportunity to be at the heart of supporting IP&I's transformation, where you'll lead a team in a brand-new support function with a changing purpose and role. You'll have a chance to shape new ways of working; have engagement with stakeholders across GCOO & IP&I to shape workforce planning, create a high-performance culture and drive cost efficiency on our journey towards becoming a skills-based organisation. You'll play an integral role in defining the workforce planning and resourcing strategy. You'll lead a people-first team of 15 colleagues responsible for prioritising the strategic development of IP&I Platform workforce plans and collaborate with our leaders to deliver them. In addition, the team are responsible for resourcing and recruiting for all our IP&I platforms, and ensure a great colleague experience through onboarding and inducting our new talent. You'll partner with the Group teams (GCOO) to interlock on strategic changes, investment funding and technology enablement plans, in turn exploring ways to simplify interaction models. You'll connect teams with their data, embed workforce planning tools and methodology to allow leaders to make skills led decisions, deliver their plans, and drive a high-performance culture. You'll also have the exciting responsibility of driving the Brand presence and Attraction agenda across our strategic locations, collaborating with likeminded people across Insurance and GCOO to drive our commitment to the tech and financial services industry and attract the best talent through events, sponsorships, and partnerships. * Lead teams ensuring high performance whilst collaborating effectively with partners across the Group, including Audit and other partners.
* Provide effective leadership for the function and participating in business strategy, influencing key collaborators as a member of the senior management team.
* Lead on senior level engagement and acting as a focal point for all team issues and support to leadership team, meeting their needs and the needs of their team.
* Represent the CIO at relevant Group governance forums and working groups whilst collaborating across a wide range of technical teams to shape and influence decisions and present strategic and cost solutions.
* Establish and embed the governance framework for recruitment, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align to the Group's Policies
* Thorough oversight of key risks and issues across People & Data, actively supporting the management and unblocking of these items. Uncover emerging issues and/or needs and identify potential causes, related issues, key partners, and barriers.
* Oversight Organisational Design structure and resource allocations to support successful delivery.
* Design and develop the calendar of activity of activities for events, sponsorships, partnerships, and industry award programmes to enhance the profile of the IPI CIO as a key champion in the industry, bring outside thinking into our ways of working and celebrate success. Ensure the appropriate process is in place that enables effective status reporting with robust control over FTE plans for upward reporting.
* Coordinating the Joiners, Movers & Leavers team, ensuring a colleague-first onboarding experience to be day 1 ready; and policies are followed at exit.
* Mentor and develop team members to recognise their skills, capabilities and creating a high-performance culture.
* Bring your own creative thinking to the role and support our agile ways of working.
Strong stakeholder management is key at a senior level including MD / Exec level.
* Experience of leading a team whilst collaborating effectively with partners across the Group, including Audit and other partners
* Strong Financial Services background.
* Thought leadership and reporting skills with a proven ability of filtering out noise and investigate when vital to get to the challenges, making succinct recommendations based on data trends.
* Experience of dealing with high-levels of ambiguity with an ability to understand and interpret large quantities of data / information and detail at speed;
* A proven record of establishing and maintaining effective reporting on team delivery and performance.
* A background of CIO and IP&I would be advantageous.
