We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Gym Manager to join our team. As the Gym Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the gym, overseeing day-to-day operations, and delivering an exceptional member experience.
Gym Manager | Salary £31,000 - £35,000 with benefits
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and support a team of fitness professionals, personal trainers, and front-of-house staff. Ensure all team members are trained, motivated, and provide exceptional customer service.
2. Facility Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensuring the facility is clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped at all times.
3. Member Experience: Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere, ensuring members’ needs are met, addressing concerns, and providing top-notch customer service.
4. Sales and Retention: Manage membership sales, retention, and promotional activities. Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and retain existing members.
5. Financial Management: Monitor and manage the gym’s budget, including overseeing costs, tracking financial performance, and achieving business targets.
6. Health and Safety: Ensure that the gym complies with all health and safety regulations, and that the facility is a safe environment for both members and staff.
7. Coaching: Oversee the development and implementation of fitness programs, including group classes and personal training services. Ensure that all programs align with the gym’s goals and meet the needs of the members.
8. Customer Feedback: Continuously gather and act on feedback from members to improve the gym’s offerings and overall member satisfaction.
9. Marketing and Promotion: Work with the marketing team to create and implement promotional campaigns, events, and social media content that drives engagement and attracts new members.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in gym management or a similar leadership role within the fitness industry.
2. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
3. A passion for health and fitness with a genuine desire to help people achieve their fitness goals.
4. Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, delivering exceptional customer service.
5. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
6. Knowledge of fitness industry trends, health and safety regulations, and financial management.
7. Fitness qualifications - Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training preferred.
8. Experience in sales and marketing within a gym or fitness setting is desirable.
