Introduction The Customer Experience and Service Delivery team delivers integrated facilities management services to ensure a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment for MPs, their staff, and staff of the House to work in; as well as providing a welcoming and functional environment for all visitors to the House of Commons. The Heritage Cleaning Team sits within the Customer Experience and Service Delivery team and are responsible for the cleaning of high profile and historic areas of the Place of Westminster. The Role As a Heritage cleaner you are responsible for the cleanliness of your allocated area of the Palace. This will involve providing the appropriate standards of conservation cleaning as well as more regular daily office cleaning tasks. You will also support the Heritage Team Leader with the delivery of other scheduled specialist cleaning tasks. Appropriate conservation cleaning training will be provided. Some of the responsibilities for this role include: To clean allocated areas, in the agreed time, according to the Heritage Cleaning specification and to the agreed standards. To cover additional areas caused by sickness or holidays as reasonably directed by the Team Leader or Heritage Cleaning Manager. To ensure that all cleaning equipment is in good working order, especially with regards to electrical equipment and to report all faults. To attend team meetings and training sessions as required. To obtain products and consumables, from the stores, as required to carry out daily cleaning duties. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Ideally holder of BICSc Licence to Practice Ability to help and support colleagues to get the jobs done whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion. Ability to both work as part of a team and on own initiative. Experience of working in a historic and high-profile environment.
