Job Description:
Assist in duties relating to the running of the Country Parks’ 2 Visitor Centres.
• Perform duties in and around Country Parks as required for essential maintenance.
• Litter management in and around the Country Parks.
• Report faults and maintenance requirements.
• Proactively identify service improvements required and assist in their introduction.
• In line with Health and Safety requirements, follow all safe systems of work and risk assessments in carrying out your duties.
• Record management e.g. completion of forms, templates etc. as required.
• Discretion in handling material of a confidential/sensitive nature.
Caravan & Camping Site:
➢ Provide a welcome to visitors and ensure that all enquiries are treated courteously.
➢ Ensure a high standard of visitor provision within buildings and the site environs for customers.
➢ Carry out maintenance work (e.g. minor groundworks, minor repairs within ablution blocks, service areas).
➢ Oversee site arrivals, monitor bay/pitch allocation.
Experience And Qualifications:
Essential:
• Good timekeeping
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Good communication, literacy and diplomacy skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and respond to changing circumstances
• Good level of fitness
• Full UK driving licence appropriate to the section covered
Desirable:
• Good knowledge of West Lothian and its Country Parks.
