But she still needs ambitious staff to be part of this incredibly rewarding, yet challenging, journey and this is an opportunity for you to be part of that as we look to recruit an Inclusion Manager. Your new role The Inclusion Manager is part of the pastoral team which is made up of 13 hard working individuals and you'll be responsible for the welfare of all students within the school. You'll manage the Inclusion Centre that provides a special learning environment with academic support and nurtures students with emotional and mental wellbeing challenges. The role focuses on the development of provision for students with challenging behaviour so it's key you are able to assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils' learning and provide emotional support for pupils with problematic personal lives. You will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team in building and maintaining a disciplined, yet caring ethos across the school. You will also promote and support positive behaviour and high levels of attendance from students, and develop and deliver strategies to improve pastoral care across the school. You will liaise with students, staff, teachers, families, and agencies where required, and will support teachers to provide consistent pastoral care to students. What you'll need to succeed You will be confident in communicating with a range of people including pupils, staff, teachers, families, and agencies where required. You will have experience in behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour and be able to motivate pupils and promote high expectations. You will also have experience of intervention programmes that accelerate progress and a commitment to raising attainment and safeguarding vulnerable young people.
