About the Role:
Are you a skilled and dedicated professional with experience in highway construction and site operations? We are looking for a Traffic Management Supervisor to support our team with the oversight and successful delivery of highway renewal and improvement schemes.
Location: Highways England's Area 7 & 9 SDF Contracts
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee site operations, fulfilling the Principal Contractor role under CDM on Provider Works and acting as Supervisor on Managed Works.
2. Implement safety and quality practices through Kier 5 SHE Basics, ensuring safety and compliance for all site activities.
3. Maintain construction programmes, verifying TM designs are correctly installed and demobilized.
4. Conduct regular Safety, Health, and Environmental inspections, promoting a safe work environment.
5. Ensure effective contractor performance, providing clear instruction on safety, execution, and progress reporting.
6. Support the planning and coordination of traffic management, including roadspace bookings and stakeholder liaison.
Qualifications:
1. SSSTS (CITB Site Supervisor's Safety Training Scheme) & CSCS (Supervisory) Card.
2. Experience delivering Principal Contractor obligations under CDM 2015 and Supervisory role under NEC.
3. Proven success in highway schemes involving restricted site availability (e.g., night work).
4. Experience with structures, high-speed roads, and technology schemes.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and commitment to high standards.
6. Positive attitude toward collaborative and partnering-based project delivery.
