Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Shopper Activation Lead to join our Nestlé Confectionery UK Commercial Development Team (CDT) where you will lead a team of Shopper Activation Managers, and be accountable for the delivery of shopper activation across a defined set of channels and customers. A day in the life of a Shopper Activation Lead In this high-profile role that offers visible leadership, you will execute and evaluate shopper solutions which deliver competitive advantage, through understanding Nestlé category drivers, channel and customer strategies, shopper insight and operational delivery within budget. You will lead the customer activation input into the Integrated Commercial Plan (ICP) process ensuring actionable shopper insight is added, and a robust understanding of operational constraints are considered, supporting the development of customer plans that deliver for the shopper, the brand and the customer. Other key responsibilities include: - From the annual shopper strategy, shape the activation/investment priorities for a defined set of channels or customers as part of the internal planning process - Own the exceptional execution of an activation plan based on retailer, category and brand plans, for allocated customers including lead the strategic shopper agenda with customers playing a lead role in customer sells and strategic customer meetings - exciting and delighting through engaging experiences - Take ownership for the Advantage Group Survey scores for shopper marketing programmes for a defined set of customers and channels - Consolidate customer activation campaigns to deliver total channel evaluation, key learnings and recommendation to the business. Set shopper metric KPI by event and customer & deliver evaluation of activation investment for allocated customers identifying shopper metric movement, return on investment and key learnings - Coach and support the wider team to be the best that they can be and ensure their success in delivering the above key responsibilities, as well as their training and personal development What will make you successful? Other key skills and experience include: - Previous experience in shopper or trade marketing roles with broader additional experience in category or commercial desired - A strong understanding of the retail and store environment and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Experience of leading and coaching a team of shopper professionals - Experience in developing and delivering on Joint Marketing Plan (JMP) for key account - Experience developing tailored and consistent activation event plans for retailers and executing those plans. - Understanding retailer activation and the retail media opportunities that are available to support the delivery of the activation plans, making recommendations on supporting each event - Budget management experience - Passionate about building strong relationships and delivering excellence in results - A demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and manage results to often tight deadlines. - Strong influencing and communication skills at all levels, both up and down the organisation to enhance integration of shopper within the total communications and media mix Why Nestlé?
