We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Burton manufacturing facility. Here, we are responsible for around 40% of the company’s concrete roofing products. This is a real team environment, and we are all committed to producing a great product!
Our Engineers work on a Dupont-style shift pattern, which is 2 Days,1 off, 2 nights,4 off,4 days,1 off,3 nights,4 off with start and finish times being 6 am or 6 pm respectively. If work-life balance is important to you, this role will suit you well.
What’s the role about?
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
You'll undertake a variety of engineering tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. You’ll work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic and pneumatic and will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. You'll also contribute to the overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets.
What are the skills required?
1. Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Mechanical Engineering
2. Good working knowledge of mechanical engineering to include fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
3. Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
4. Good understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety issues, and knowledge of regulatory requirements
