What youll doYou will: Work on the Acute Oncology Unit, working under the supervision of a senior Allied Health professional (AHP) to provide evidence-based advice to patients. Work on the inpatient wards to assist with nutrition screening, triaging of patient dietetic and SLT referrals and provide first line nutrition support advice. Work under the guidance of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist supporting patients with their therapy needs. Assist with completion of administration tasks such as referral of patients for ongoing care needs, liaising with GP surgeries and primary care teams Provide training to ward staff and patients. Manage your workload and own time effectively with regards to clinical priority Work within your own limitations and seek support from supervising AHPs when required Completion and analysis of data collection for the projectWhat were looking forWe are looking for someone who is keen to learn; previous experience of working in oncology and working in an acute hospital setting is desirable but not essential. You must have experience of working in a healthcare setting. Good communication and organisational skills are paramount to this role. Full training and support will be provided.
