Document Controller for High Voltage Cabling Project in Scotland
Location: East Coast of Scotland
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Project runs through to 2029
Rate: £320/day INSIDE IR35 through an umbrella company
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Document Controller to join our team on a high voltage cabling project based on the east coast of Scotland. This is a long-term project running through to 2029, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a significant infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the entire document control process for the project.
* Implement and maintain effective processes and procedures for document control.
* Manage documentation flow up the line to the client and down the line to subcontractors.
* Work closely with project teams to ensure all documentation is accurately tracked and maintained.
* Oversee a Document Control Assistant once that role becomes available.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Key Experience Required:
* Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office packages.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
* Ability to manually track tasks without an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) - note that the client does not have an EDMS, and all tasks are manually tracked.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and subcontractors.
* Experience in implementing and managing document control processes.
