I am looking for a Property Surveyor to join a Social Housing provider in the South East of England. The Property Surveyor will get to work on a hybrid basis with business mileage role is for an All-round Surveyor, you will be surveying all types of Property from Housing, care homes, listed buildings, farm and commercial units.
This client was established 50 years ago with a primary focus towards 24/7 care and support for people with significant challenges with mental health and physical disabilities, The right candidate will have that personal touch.
Property Surveyor Duties:
1. Work with and supervise contractors to ensure works are done to a high quality, in a safe manner and compliant with Construction Design Management regulations.
2. Deliver a high quality and effective repairs service including surveying properties and repairs, preparing works specifications, checking the quality of repairs, sourcing new contractors.
3. Visit property, regional and nationwide as directed, to undertake pre/post inspections, validate stock condition information and to identify suitable construction remedies.
4. Assist with the management of the big 6 compliance areas, Fire, Asbestos, Legionella, Gas Safety, Electrical Safety and Lift Safety.
What is required for the role:
5. Experience working within Social Housing providers
6. HNC minimum: Construction or Surveying
7. Membership of the CIOB/RICS - Desireable
8. Personal touch - You will be going into properties where tenants have mental and Physical health conditions.
