We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Van driver/Technician to join our clients team based out of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire on a temporary ongoing basis.
You will play a vital role in sampling, transporting, and analyzing data from clean water, environmental, and operational sources. This role requires adherence to strict quality standards and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and transport samples while ensuring proper storage and quality control.
Address and resolve any issues during sampling or transport, liaising with customers when necessary.
Follow established procedures to meet sampling schedules and business requirements.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring compliance with QA standards.
Accurately report and validate analytical data in line with quality management standards.
Identify and escalate unusual results or issues promptly.
Maintain robust records and participate in investigations for non-conforming results.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
Deliver exceptional service, putting customer satisfaction at the forefront.
Participate in audits, calibrations, and staff training schedules.
Monitor stock levels for consumables and reagents.
Prioritize health and safety in all activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper disposal of chemicals.
Skills/Experience:
Candidates ideally need to be based in Huntingdon but will travel across the region using company vehicle which they will pick up each morning from the Huntingdon Central Labs and drop off at the end of each shift.
Full UK Manual driving licence
Able to pass a DBS check as you will be enter customers homes
Be comfortable knocking on customers doors explaining you are there to take a water sample and able to explain why and what you are doing to ensure the customers get great customer service whilst the sampler is in their house.
Comfortable with minor heavy lifting
Working Hours/Pay:
Must be able to work flexible hours sometimes starting as early as 06:00 and finishing as late as 21:00
£12.78 per hour (based on a 37 hour paid week)
