An opportunity exists for an energetic and innovative individual to join ShropshireCouncil's asset management team as the Sustainability Support Officer. You willsupport the Property Sustainability Officer in making the corporate asset portfolio moresustainable, contributing to the Council's 2030 net zero carbon target. Workingalongside property colleagues and service users, you will assist in identifying andimplementing building and management interventions, and research and progressrenewable energy opportunities.
You will need to be a great communicator; working with colleagues and partners acrossShropshire. Excellent organisation, decision-making and negotiation skills are essentialto support the delivery of the Council's asset management strategy and carbonreduction targets through the development of sustainable asset plans and programmesof work. You will need at least 2 years' experience of property management andmaintenance issues and have knowledge of improvements in building performance interms of sustainability and energy efficiency.
