Operations Manager – Payment Control & Investigations
This role requires an experienced Operations Manager to provide leadership and management to direct reports to ensure the day-to-day functions relevant to the Payment Control & Investigations team are completed prior to deadlines and in line with legal, regulatory, and company procedures. The successful candidate will have solid experience in wealth management or banking operations with people management experience. Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure real-time escalation of any possible operational risks/incidents/errors/ to Head/Deputy Head of Operations
2. Identify opportunities in streamlining workflow and improve processing efficiency, including but not limited to automation, system development, and enhancement
3. Ensure the daily and monthly Income payments are paid correctly through the automated standing order process
4. Review outgoing payments and add relevant payment information in accordance with the country’s requirements into Avaloq when amended in SWIFT
5. Ensure all payment requests are actioned with appropriate payment authority working with areas across the business
Required knowledge and experience
6. Solid experience in wealth management or banking operations with people management experience
7. A detailed working knowledge of Avaloq
8. Knowledge of SWIFT, IGT & BACS processes would be advantageous
9. Good understanding of banking and wealth management regulations across the UK and International jurisdictions of the Crown Dependencies
10. Ability to meet deadlines on a daily basis
