Clerical Officer - Band 2 - 22 .5 hours - Permanent
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Community Administration service. This post will work within Ashton locality providing full clerical support to Health Care Professional teams that are based within the community clinics.
Working as part of a team, the post holder will act as the first point of contact for all community serviceusers therefore the post holder must have the ability to deal with the general public and have a positive approach to customer care. Administration experience is essential as you will be expected to undertake a full range of clerical tasks.
Community clinics currently operate between the hours of and, Monday to Friday, however the Community Administration service is contracted to work between the hours of and, Monday to Saturday.
This post will be working within the Ashton Locality covering Crickets Lane clinic & Stalybridge Clinic and Mossley Health Centre. The days of work to be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
To liaise with Child Health Information Services as well as Tameside & Glossop Health Visiting and School Nursing Services to ensure children's community health records are transferred in a timely manner. It is imperative that the successful candidate is able to follow processes and procedures and they must be meticulous in their approach. A key requirement of the role is for the successful candidate to be able to use Microsoft Excel efficiently as data inputting and spreadsheet formulation is a large part of the role.
The main form of communication is via email and telephone. The successful candidate will be required to respond to daily queries from internal and external organisations therefore applicants should be excellent communicators with good written skills. Excellent attention to detail is essential, together with the ability to work to deadlines. In addition it is a necessity that applicants have a good standard of typing and IT skills.
