About the role
We are looking to appoint a Work Based Trainer with industry experience and skills within Metal Fabrication, Welding and Pipefitting to join a well established apprenticeship team. This is a fast-paced role in which you will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will provide high quality and responsive training, support and mentoring to a caseload of apprentices, developing their knowledge, skills and behaviours to prepare them for End Point Assessment.
Duties will include:
1. Managing a caseload of apprentices ensuring timely achievement.
2. Co-ordinating all aspects of the apprenticeship programme, working closely with all internal and external stakeholders.
3. Ensuring on and off the job learning is contextualised and meets the required standards.
4. Regular attendance in the workplace to support the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
5. Monitoring apprentice progress and ensuring regular reviews are completed.
6. Providing training support and guidance in preparation for End Point Assessment.
7. Maintaining apprentice records accurately including e-portfolio and college record systems.
About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service, as well as strong organisational and administrative skills.
Candidates should have:
* Level 2 English and maths.
* An apprenticeship or other relevant industry qualification at level 3 or above.
* Recent industry experience within metal fabrication, welding and pipefitting.
* ICT competency.
