This is a Trainee Groundworker role.
The Trainee Groundworker will work 40 hours per week (usually Monday to Friday).
Main hub is in Saint Asaph, working across North Wales.
The beginning rate of pay is national minimum wage based on your age range:
* Aged 18 - 20 years - £8.50 ph
* Aged 21 - £11.44 ph
* From April 2025 this will increase to:
* Aged 18 - 20 years - £10.00 ph
* Aged 21 - £12.21 ph

* Basic understanding of Health & Safety in the Built environment
* Basic understanding of site repair work
* Utilise ladders and scaffolding safely
* Basic understanding of joinery
* Understanding safe use of tools and equipment used
* Understanding of building material types, concrete, timbers, and mortars
Skills/Behaviours:
* Demonstrate good customer service, basic numeracy skills, teamwork, problem-solving skills, reliability, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn
Trainee Groundworker Stage 2

Knowledge through On The Job Training:
* Understanding of Health & Safety in the built environment
* Localised Rendering
* Interpreting the use of drawings and specifications
* Tarmac repairs
* Block paving, slabbing, laying kerbs
* Landscaping
* Setting out for footing/sitework
* Concreting and different types of concreting and its usage
* Basic blockwork and brickwork
* Removing drainage and pipework systems and renewing
* Redirecting waterways and connecting pipes with existing pipework
* To carry out all aspects of groundworks and all associated tasks as required

* Demonstrate good customer service, basic numeracy skills, teamwork, problem-solving skills, reliability, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn
