Hygiene Manager\nLocation: Wetherby\nJob Type: Full-time\nAre you an experienced Hygiene Manager ready to lead a team and deliver exceptional standards in a food manufacturing environment?\nWe are seeking a proactive and skilled Hygiene Manager to oversee our site hygiene operations. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing and managing a team of 8 Hygiene Operatives, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of environmental and equipment hygiene. You will also drive compliance with internal and external expectations, champion best practices, and foster continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * Provide leadership and management for the site hygiene team, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.\n * Oversee hygiene, waste, and pest control systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and stakeholder requirements.\n * Develop and manage budgets for labour and consumables, collaborating with service providers and internal teams.\n * Support 3rd-party and customer audits by presenting data and conducting equipment inspections.\n * Investigate hygiene-related non-conformances and implement corrective actions.\n * Deliver on-the-job hygiene training and perform regular competency reviews for the team.\nSkills and Competencies Required:\nCompetencies:\n * 5+ years of Hygiene Management experience.\n * 5+ years in food manufacturing.\n * Level 3 Food Safety and Level 3 HACCP certifications.\n * Allergen awareness and pest control management expertise.\n * IOSH Health and Safety certification.\n * Knowledge of waste stream management and environmental awareness.\nSkills:\n * Leadership and people management.\n * Proactive approach and strong organizational skills.\n * Excellent communication and root cause analysis capabilities.\n * Budget control and resource management.\nKey Performance Indicators:\n * Achieve >97% pass rates on allergen and environmental swabs.\n * Drive quarterly improvements in GMP scores across the site.\n * Ensure on-time closure of pest control and non-conformance actions.\n * Maintain hygiene training and competency completion for all staff
