About the role
Idox has an excellent opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic individual to join our Credit Control Team based in Glasgow. Reporting directly to our Credit Control Supervisor, this role involves working as part of the team to support the day-to-day operations of the team.
This new role may be of interest to a credit controller looking to make the next move in their career. Excellent time management is key to support daily and month-end reporting deadlines. Assisting with the integration process for new acquisitions, you will be the key credit control representative to lead and manage this process for the credit control team.

The Idox Group Finance team has a progressive outlook, and is a close-knit, mixed team of finance professionals, including experienced qualified accountants and finance professionals with specialisms in accounts payable, credit control, management information, payroll, systems accounting, and tax.
The successful candidate should demonstrate good IT / Microsoft office skills and can work independently as well as part of a team. Idox operates a mixed model of office and home working, depending on circumstances. Partial home / office working can be agreed subject to line manager approval and ongoing reporting commitments. Key responsibilities
Credit Control Focus:
1. Ensuring our internal processes are adhered to in line with agreed SLAs to ensure timely cash collections
2. Ensuring processes are reviewed on a six-monthly basis and updated in collaboration with the Credit Control Manager
3. Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
4. Providing day to day support to the credit control team
5. Training existing and new credit control team members
6. Assisting with resolution of queried invoices
7. Lead contact for credit control team integrating newly acquired businesses into Idox ERP system / Finance team
8. Assisting with continuous improvements
9. Participation with credit control team mailbox
10. Managing your own portfolio of accounts to ensure timely collection of debtor balances within agreed payment terms (telephone, email, letters)
11. Escalate unpaid / high risk accounts in line with company credit control procedures to the Credit Control Supervisor
12. Weekly / monthly credit control reporting.
13. Assisting with audit requests
14. Assist with other ad hoc duties / reporting as requested
Cash Books:
1. Posting and allocating customer receipts (multi-currency)
2. Daily bank account reconciliations
3. Ensuring any reconciling items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner
Acquisitions:
1. Facilitate implementation plan for credit control related tasks
2. First point of contact between credit control and our ERP support team
3. Handover of acquisition to credit control team
To be successful, you will need to bring:
1. Excellent customer service experience
2. Ability to communicate at all levels
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines and hit monthly collection targets
4. Ability to work independently, with strong organisational and time management skills
5. Excellent attention to detail
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, index matching)
