Job Title: Social Worker - CP and Court Team
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: HC8 £35,235 – £39,513 (plus £5,000 market rate supplement per year £40,235 - £44,513)
Welcome payment: £5,000 after 6 months completion in post
Relocation package of up to £10,000 available
Contract: permanent

The Role
We are looking for passionate, skilled, and committed Social Workers for our Child Protection and Court teams, who are innovative, able to work within teams of like-minded professionals, and motivated to work directly with children and their families.
You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years experience in statutory social care. Confident in managing a complex caseload, with strong report writing skills and experience of giving oral evidence, you will be dedicated to improving the lives of children and families within Herefordshire.
Herefordshire Council Child Protection & Court Teams
The Child Protection & Court teams are based in the centre of Hereford with good transport links. The staff are very welcoming and are always keen to offer help and guidance to anyone new to the team. There are 5 teams made up of a Team Manager, 1 Senior Practitioner, 6 Social Workers, and 4 family support workers. We work in the main Herefordshire Council offices at Plough Lane, which gives everyone a chance to catch up and meet new staff.
