ATA are working with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK at their world class manufacturing facility in Burnaston, Derbyshire. We are supporting them on a recruitment drive to add experienced quality assurance engineers to their team due to internal promotion and the requirement to increase their workforce throughout 2025. The groups UK arm is a critical part in the company wheel and currently operates as their flagship site in Europe accounting for an impressive £3B of the groups £210B annual turnover.

About the role
As a quality assurance engineer, you will be working on valuable projects in the QA division to instil and drive a quality mindset across the whole business.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Design and implement quality standards. Keeping up to date with ISO 9001 compliance.
2. Create testing methods and procedures to ensure product quality at various stages of production.
3. Working within TMUK's 1st Tier and 2nd Tier Part Suppliers, auditing their quality manufacturing systems to ensure they are robust, effective, and in line with company expectations.
4. Collaborating with other group sites across Europe on kaizen activities, learning and passing on information.
5. Completing root cause analysis using techniques such as 5 Why, FMEA, and Fishbone (Ishikawa).
6. Maintaining detailed records and producing reports detailing what’s going well and areas for improvement – management reports.
7. Project management, putting together business cases for future improvement activities.
8. Training staff on quality procedures and quality control techniques.
9. This role includes travel across the UK and Mainland Europe.
About you
To be considered for this quality assurance engineer role, you should have/be the following:
1. Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
2. Experience with ISO 9001 compliance.
3. Experience with APQP & PPAP processes.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Full right to work in the UK and hold a UK driving license.
6. Qualified within an engineering discipline 2:1 or above.
7. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a similar capacity.
