Our customers are commercial, industrial and educational organisations across Wales and the South of England. About the role: Due to continued growth, one of the UK's leading Fencing Contractors is currently seeking an Estimator to work full time out of our South East office based near Chelmsford. The company are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with large contractors, a proven track record, excellent industry experience, be hardworking, driven and looking to join a growing organisation. To enable you to successfully carry out your role, you will be provided with a company car (or car allowance), phone, laptop, death-in-service and be part of the company’s bonus scheme. Your working hours will be Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm Friday 8am – 3pm. However, it is pertinent to note that you may be required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the efficient and proper performance of your duties. Job Purpose: Estimating Generate sales orders for the division Building customer relationships Negotiating sales orders Key Accountabilities: Working closely with Regional Manager to develop the SE Region Site Surveys Offering Value-engineering to customers Take off drawings (measuring fence lines and gate sizes) Negotiating with customers Liaising with purchasing department to ensure prices are up to date Liaising with suppliers for prices Taking incoming enquiry calls Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Previous experience of Estimating Ability to take off drawings Experience of working within a team to ensure a full handover from Sales to Contracts Ability to carry out costing reviews upon completion of a job Ability to prioritise a busy workload ensuring nothing is missed Fencing Experience (Essential) Benefits: Company car or company car allowance, Annual bonus scheme based on performance, Death in service cover 21 -25 days annual holiday allowance Company laptop and company phone Please click the APPLY button to submit your CV for this role Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Fencing Estimator, Managing Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Project Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, Managing QS, project cost controller, Contract Manager, Senior Contract Manager, Estimator and Senior Estimator may also be considered
