Job description Do you have a passion for managing the bidding process? DE&S Deca is seeking a dedicated Bid Officer to join our team in Sealand and play a pivotal role in driving successful bids and enhancing customer satisfaction. As a Bid Manager at DE&S Deca, your role will primarily involve focusing on Customer Liaison and Bid Development. You will act as the key point of contact for customers throughout the bid process, ensuring bid performance, customer satisfaction, and effective reporting and escalation as needed. Your responsibilities will include registering all new opportunities in the CRM system, capturing essential customer data and delivery dates. Additionally, you will lead a cross-functional bid team to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements and price them competitively based on cost estimates and expected margins. You will also be responsible for populating the Demand Plan with resource hours and business potential. You will collaborate with Contracts Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to release offers and manage customer negotiations. Along with this is you will be engaging with the implementation team will be crucial to ensure successful project execution. You will play a role in enhancing the New Service Provision (NSP) process and supporting external audits for quality assurance. You will be expected to maintain data integrity in the CRM system and providing regular performance reports will be essential to track progress and ensure effective decision-making. Your role as a Bid Manager at DE&S Deca will involve a diverse range of tasks aimed at delivering successful bids, satisfying customers, and driving continuous improvement within the organisation. What you’ll be doing Determine the appropriate commercial actions against requirements. Ensure all contracts adhere to procurement regulations and Government policy. Assist/Lead (depending on project value) in the portfolio management of requirements and contracts varying in risk and complexity ensuring contract obligations are met in line with the contract and business requirements. Draft Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ), Invitation To Tender (ITT) and contract documentation in accordance with MOD policy and legislation. Negotiate terms and pricing depending on value, place and manage contracts and contract amendments. Support negotiation and contract placement above level of delegation when required and highlight novel and contentious issues to the Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) to ensure satisfactory resolution. Communicate in a timely manner with a range of internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and Subject Matter Experts. Provide support and assistance to commercial enabling teams to assist delivery of DE&S Business Improvement projects.
