Our Fowler Welch Teynham site is now recruiting for a Hygiene Operative on a full-time permanent basis.
Salary: £11.44 per hour.
Job Description
The role-holder will be responsible for and undertake the following tasks:
* Ensure all practices and procedures are carried out in line with Fowler Welch’s BRC policy, Health & Safety policy, and HACCP plan.
* Ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the facility, paying attention to fixtures, fittings, and signage.
* Empty bins daily; polythene waste to be baled and moved to the designated area ready for collection.
* Sweep and wash floors in line with the hygiene schedule.
* Perform detailed cleaning of warehouse barrier work, racking, and picking slots to ensure optimum levels of food safety and hygiene.
* Document all works.
* Proactively identify and report any defects or maintenance issues to the line manager.
* Maintain a clean-as-you-go attitude and ensure potential hazards are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
* Use cleaning materials appropriately, as instructed and economically.
* All cleaners will be required to use electrical/mechanical equipment, i.e., floor scrubbers and washers, after relevant training.
* Work at heights.
* Use only approved cleaning materials in line with manufacturers’ instructions and COSHH regulations.
* Be aware of Health and Safety for self and others at all times.
* Support the wider Facilities and Site functions as required, subject to appropriate knowledge/training.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a cleaner.
* Experience working within a logistics/warehouse environment.
* Ability to work at height for extended periods.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment.
